Woolworths Holdings Limited (WHL) is an investment holding company, operating primarily through three subsidiaries, Woolworths (Proprietary) Limited (Woolworths) and Woolworths Financial Services (Proprietary) Limited (Woolworths Financial Services) in South Africa, and Country Road Limited (Country Road) in Australia.
Woolworths is a large chain of retail outlets operating under the Woolworths brand name throughout South Africa, and through franchise operations in South Africa and selected African countries as well as in the Middle East. Woolworths offers customers a carefully selected range of quality clothing, food and general merchandise.
Woolworths Financial services products include the Woolworths store card, personal loans and the Woolworths Visa card.
Country Road offers a select range of clothing and homeware through its own dedicated retail outlets and through concessions in large department stores in Australia and New Zealand. Country Road is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange.
