Innovation

Innovation is considered Woolworths’ critical differentiator and is at the core of our product development philosophy, alongside quality and value. More than 90 technologists across the business are tasked with ensuring that Woolworths applies the most recent international technology and practices in every aspect of product development and that sustainability is fundamental to this technological development.

Examples of this commitment to innovation include an organic clothing range, use of renewable sources of natural fibre, sustainable development of the local wool value chain and a range of private-brand beauty products developed with an emphasis on natural, gentle ingredients.

Woolworths’ good food journey is a a multifaceted, long-term commitment to addressing issues including care for the environment, animal welfare and consumer food issues – meeting the increasing demand for food that is safe, healthy, and

Details of these various sustainable initiatives can be found in the Sustainabilty Report.
