WOOLWORTHS INTRODUCES LOW ALCOHOL WINES
May 9, 2008
In keeping with its promise of offering choices that help South Africans lead a healthy lifestyle, Woolworths has just introduced a range of three easy-drinking wines containing less than 10% alcohol. Woolworths new Light Chenin Blanc, Light Sauvignon Blanc and Light Shiraz have been carefully blended by Woolworths Wine Selector and Cape Wine Master Allan Mullins in conjunction with the winemaker at Spier Wine Estate to offer the health-conscious customer wines that are lower in alcohol without compromising on taste. All are ready to be enjoyed now. Woolworths crisp, fresh Light Chenin Blanc (R 27.95) is packed with the ripe fruit flavours of guava and litchi and is the ideal partner for fresh green salad and seared tuna. The Light Sauvignon Blanc(R 29.95) exhibits the typical cultivar character, offering ripe fruit, green pepper and grassy flavours and should go well with grilled fish or calamari steaks. Those who enjoy a glass of red wine will be pleased with the ripe fruit, plum and spicy flavours of Woolworths new low alcohol Light Shiraz (R 29,95). ENDS
