A South African Christmas means something different to each and every one of us. Maybe it’s a long traditional turkey lunch, a festive braai around the swimming pool or a sun-filled family feast at the beach. Whatever shape it takes, one thing is for sure – Christmas is a time for togetherness but getting those you love all in one place can be very challenging.

Today, families are spread all over the country (and often the world). And due to economic constraints, loved ones are resorting to Face Time, Skype or WhatsApp to conduct their reunions, because travel is simply out of the question. But what if, this year, 100 people could get the chance to bring their most-loved family members and friends home?

This Christmas, Woolworths will be giving customers the chance to bring their loved ones home – and all you need to do is nominate the person you want most at your Christmas celebration this year. From the nominations, Woolworths will select 100 lucky people to go home this Christmas. And their festive homecoming stories will be shared with the rest of South Africa via video and social media.

To kick-start the campaign, Woolies has partnered with Metro FM and DJ Fresh from the 1st October to select five lucky listeners to be the first of the homecoming winners. For the first week in October, Metro FM listeners will be able to post their nominations of who they want to Bring Home via WhatsApp Voice Note (060 506 9377). Woolworths will then select the first five nominations, which will win a return trip home (with Woolies treats of course) and will feature in this year’s Woolworths Christmas campaign.

You could be the one bringing your someone home this Christmas! Simply head to Woolworths’ Facebook or Twitter page for info on how to enter: @woolworthsSA (Facebook) or @woolworths_SA  (Twitter)
