On Thursday, 26 April, the biggest Woolworths food market to date opens at Nicolway Bryanston. Adding to the excitement will be the appearance of some of the contestants taking part in the first MasterChef South Africa, currently airing on M-Net, along with favourite judge Benny Masekwameng. Shoppers will have the chance to see them in action during three sessions: from 8h30-11h30 on Thursday, 26 April; from 10h30-13h30 on Friday the 27th and from 10h30-13h30 on Saturday the 28th, when they’ll be demonstrating their culinary skills in store by creating a range of fabulous dishes using Woolies beef fillet, free range chicken, avocados, sweet corn, smoked salmon and tomatoes. MORE TO LOVE It’s just one example of how Woolworths Nicolway Bryanston is taking the Woolies shopping experience to a whole new level. Customers can expect to find much more, from the best in contemporary retail design and greater circulation space to superior service levels and more extensive supermarket ranges. Says store manager Jorges Theodosopoulos, “We’ve gone to great lengths to make Woolworths Nicolway the best Woolies yet. Of course you’ll find all the fabulous fresh produce you’d expect to find, from a huge range of the freshest fruit and vegetables to free range meat and poultry. And when it comes to things like groceries and household necessities, not only do we have the full range of Woolworths own-brand products, we also have many more of South Africa’s favourite brands, so it’s easier than ever to do all your food and household shopping in one convenient place.” There’s also a butchery, a bakery and a fish counter where experts will be on hand every minute of the day to meet your every need. Woolworths is the home of award-winning cheeses, and you’ll find a wealth of great cheeses to choose from at our cheese counter. There’s also a hot food counter, a special baby world with all those little necessities from baby food and nappies to bibs and bottles, homeware for your table and kitchen, and more – including a beautiful WCafé where you can relax and enjoy delicious food and 100% organic and Fairtrade-certified coffee made right on the spot. MORE WAYS TO SERVE YOU Jorges adds, “Service means everything to me, so you’ll also find more managers and staff on the floor to help with any query, as well as a service hub where you’ll always find a customer care manager on duty. We’ll even have a “call & collect” service where you can phone in your order and we’ll do your shopping so you can just pick up your order, pay at the till, and be on your way!” MORE FOR THE PLANET In keeping with Woolworths Good Business Journey, the store also features quite a number of ‘green’ design elements, such as using natural light from skylights and a system that automatically dims the store’s lights in bright daylight conditions, recapturing waste heat from refrigeration for heating the store, capturing rain water to use in refrigeration, and using energy-efficient lighting and fully automated lighting systems. The fridges in the store use a natural gas instead of synthetic gases, because it doesn’t harm the ozone layer and will make a much lower contribution to global warming. Woolworths Nicolway Bryanston, located in the new Nicolway Bryanston Shopping Centre, Cnr William Nicol Drive and Wedgewood Link, Bryanston, is open seven days a week from 08h00 to 20h00.
