Sir John, make-up artist to Beyoncé, Serena Williams, Joan Smalls, Kim and Khloe Kardashian, and Viola Davis, has partnered with WBeauty for South African Fashion Week (SAFW).

The art student turned producer, mentor and big brand ambassador, rose to fame through his talent for creating looks that revere natural beauty, and a deep understanding of a variety of skin tones. Sir John has spent many hours at Beyonce’s side, completing her look for some of her most iconic performances, and now comes to SA to work in collaboration with proud SAFW sponsor, WBeauty, for the 2017 show.

In addition to conceptualising runway make-up looks, Sir John will be creating a look for renowned local actress, Nomzamo Mbatha, before they head to their front row seats.

WBeauty is known for creating trend relevant make-up-, fragrance, skincare and bath and body products inspired by international beauty trends. In line with the Woolworths Good Beauty Journey, WBeauty offers beauty lovers quality products that are responsibly sourced, and have minimal impact on the environment.

Head of Brand Communications for Woolworths Fashion, Shaheda Sayed, added that partnering with SAFW has been a highlight for the brand. “Together, SA Fashion Week and WBeauty/Woolworths have formed a powerful partnership. We’re both in the business of style leadership, taking a definitively South African stance on global trends. We look forward to dialling it all the way up with the added talent and influence of Sir John,” she says.

SAFW 2017 is set to take place from 24 – 28 October in Sandton, Johannesburg.
