When viewers watching the second season of MasterChef South Africa (premiering 11 June) catch their first glimpse of the MasterChef pantry, they’ll spot a familiar name. Woolworths is once again the official food sponsor for the local edition of the popular TV cooking competition.

In addition to supplying the fresh and long-life ingredients for the contestants, as an exclusive feature, Woolworths will be helping viewers at home to prepare some of the winning recipes, as well as some recipe suggestions from the Woolworths pantry. Recipe cards will be available in store and recipes will be posted on the Woolies website. To make it even easier, online shoppers will be able to add all the ingredients to their shopping cart with just one click. (If an ingredient isn’t available at Woolies, a substitute will be recommended.)

Woolworths is the home of exciting, innovative food, and aspiring MasterChefs will find lots of new additions on our shelves this season. Home cooks don’t always have the time to start from scratch, so Woolies offers a helping hand that makes it easier to serve judge-worthy dishes in the form of new flavour-packed marinades, a new long-life antipasti range, ready-to-use raspberry and passion fruit coulis and more, including flavoured coffees that will add a deliciously satisfying end to any gourmet meal. For the recipe to cook like a MasterChef, be sure to watch MasterChef South Africa Season 2 on M-Net every Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:30pm, starting 11 June.
